The Valley

Will I ever see you again?

The valley which I love?

Will I see the pines rise higher than the sky,

and the mountains that withhold the brow of the world

My soul will return, though in body I will be far,

to swim in the rivers of crystal

and to shed those tears of diamond.

Return to me, valley of green

for never again will I return to you.
