A Strange Call

I hear, its strange call strangely hid

In christening darkness I see it,

An answer it does forbid.

Weird and bold it calls

Wordless and beautiful

Horrifying, and that which is all.

I hear it, its strange call strangely hid

Which blooms in all life

And among us does live.

That song without music,

That dreamless dream

I do hold it close, and never use it.

I hear it, its strange call strangely hid,

It shines in your eyes

And laughs with the flies

"Do you see? See, the disguise?"
